Online safety is important because you never know who will see your stuff. The only thing I do to protect myself online is making my instagram profile private so people have to request to follow me. I've never personally had an experience with online safety, but my friend had this one creepy guy following her on twitter. He would message her all the time and he stalked her for months. She was so scared that he would hunt her down or something so she completely deleted her twitter.
